CBS Yahoo Widget

We have friends in the social media business.  They’re called Transpond (now Web Trends Apps).  They have friends in the media business.  They’re called CBS.  We all got together and created a TV Widget for Yahoo! Connected TVs.

Though our start and foundation was with interactive TV apps, generally on a cable STB, we were always willing to explore new and exciting technologies.  When Transpond approached us looking to help build a Yahoo! Connected TV Widget we leapt at the opportunity.  Not only was it a great client with a great offering it allowed us to play on a cool new platform – and anytime we get to sink our teeth into something new, thats a good thing.

The result was an exciting new application that showcased CBS’s show offerings in a new way.  We ended up with a deep and informative widget which had News and Sports stories, upcoming show promos, schedule information and a deep layer of show information.
